Above-Ground Fuel Tank Selection Guide

Hurtado.cc provides above-ground fuel storage tanks built in accordance with two distinct Steel Tank Institute specifications: Flameshield and Fireguard.  Each is offered with a 30-year structural warranty supported by the Steel Tank Institute.

Please select either design to review applicable features and specifications:

Flameshield (meets UL142, double wall and 2-hr fire-resistant)

Fireguard (meets UL2085, double wall, 2-hr fire, impact and ballistic resistant)

Also available:

  • Rectangular tanks.
  • Dispensing equipment for fleet vehicles or plant operations.
  • Customized electronic level sensors, pumps and accessories.
  • Split tanks for consolidated fuel inventory.

 
Flameshield Features:
200-4,000 gallon capacity		 Flameshield Features:
5,000-25,000 gallon capacity
  • Double wall, cylindrical or rectangular construction
  • 2-Hr fire-tested
  • Meets UL142 and NFPA30 requirements
  • Emergency vent, size determined by tank capacity
  • Stack vent, size determined by tank capacity
  • 4" Fuel fill port with 7 gallon overspill containment and lockable cap
  • Krueger At-a-Glance fuel gauge
  • 4" fitting with 1.5" fuel pickup fitting with drop tube and foot valve, set 6" from bottom of tank
  • 4" fitting for fuel return
  • 2 x 4" Spare fittings
  • Float vent valve (during filling operation, signals when tank is reaching filled condition)
  • Engineered hurricane tie downs
  • SP-6 blast with 5-7 mils polyurethane coat (optional finishes available for superior corrosion protection)
  • Required decals and placards
  • Krueger Leak Gauge, interstitial leak monitor,
  • Ladder for easy tank access
  • 30-Year warranty by Steel Tank Institute
